About Alcy

Alcy is a collection of thirty-two tiny games made for the pause, the daydream, the small wonder. There is no score, no level, no timer and no way to lose. You open one, you play for a minute or for an hour, and you close the tab feeling a little lighter.

Everything runs directly in your browser, on a phone as well as on a computer. There is nothing to install and no account to create. Each game opens with a short pause screen, then lets you touch, drag and listen at your own pace.

Why games without a goal?

Most free games are designed to keep you hooked: streaks, rewards, notifications, one more level. Alcy takes the opposite path. These are toys rather than challenges, closer to a sand garden or a kaleidoscope than to a puzzle. They are meant for a tea break, a waiting room, the minutes before sleep, or any moment when your mind needs something gentle to hold.

Many of them borrow from real phenomena: how waves travel through water, how fireflies fall into sync, how a flock of starlings turns as one, how flowers arrange their petals along the golden angle. You do not need to know the science to enjoy them, but it is there, quietly doing the work.

Sound

Touch, and it sings. Every note is tuned to a pentatonic scale, so nothing you play can sound wrong.

Create

Slow drawing toys. Each one leaves an image behind that you can keep with the Save PNG button.

Physics

Small simulations of real phenomena, from gravity to flocking birds, that you can nudge with a finger.

Ambience

Quiet scenes to watch and stir: wind, snow, water, fire and light.

Breathe

A guided breathing circle, for when you need a slower rhythm.

How it is made

Alcy is written in plain HTML, CSS and JavaScript, with no framework. Each game is a single light page, usually under 50 KB, so it opens quickly even on a slow connection. The sound games use the Tone.js audio library. Drawings you save with the Save PNG button are created on your own device and never uploaded anywhere.

Privacy

There is no signup and the site never asks for your name or email. Anonymous statistics tell us which games are played and for how long, so we know what to improve. The details are on the legal and privacy page.

Who is behind it?

Alcy is an independent project, made and maintained by a single person, with new games added over time. Ideas, bug reports and kind words are always welcome on the contact page.
